Permanent makeup, semi-permanent makeup, cosmetic tattooing, micropigmentation are all names for the same thing- implementing pigment into the upper reticular layer of the dermis (skin) as a means of producing designs that resemble makeup, such as eye-lining and other permanent enhancing colors to the skin of the face, lips, and eyelids. It is also used to produce artificial eyebrows, particularly in people who have lost them as a consequence of old age or disease, such as alopecia totalis. It is also used to restore or enhance the breast's areola, such as after breast surgery.

The procedure takes between 2 to 3 hours, with most of the time spent going over colors and drawing eyebrow shapes.

You will need one more visit for tourch up after the initial procedure. As with all permanent makeup procedure, the pigment will fade over time, so annual color boost is required to keep your makeup beautiful.

Microblading is manually drawn hairstrokes which mimic your natural brow hair.
Ombre brow also known as Powder Brows is a gentle tattoooing method that mimics the look of naturally done makeup.
Combo Brow is the best of both styles. The head of the brow is done with strokes and the rest is powdered to give depth.

Although extremely rare, these following complications can occur with permanent makeup:
1. Infection: There is a chance of infection if sterilized needles are not used, the ink is contaminated, or if client doesn't follow the aftercare instructions
2. Allergic reaction: An allergic reaction to tattoo ink color (the pigments used) can happen.
3. Nodules and scar tissue formation: The body may consider the tattoo ink as a “foreign substance” and react to it by forming nodules (called granulomas) around particles of pigment.
4. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) complications: A few people have reported swelling or burning in the tattooed area who have undergone an MRI of their heads. It's important to let your doctor know that you have had PMU done recently before going for MRI.
5. Other reactions: Little bleeding, swelling, and some crusting can occur.

Touch up should be done 6 to 8 weeks after the initial procedure.

The results from microblading vary from person to person and are generally designed to last 12-18 months before requiring a maintenance procedure. This means no more worrying about using brow products every time you go out!

You can also extend the results even further by scheduling additional touch-up visits over time. Microblading is designed to be semi-permanent, so the color won't remain forever without additional treatments.

Stay out of the sun and water while your microblading heals. Avoid chlorine, exfoliation creams, and sun exposure; they may cause your color to fade. We recommend applying a small amount of A&D ointment twice a day.

Your technician will provide you with full aftercare instructions after the procedure. You can also dowload the instructions HERE.

Lip color requires frequent color boosts or touch-ups as compared to other permanent makeup procedures due to the fact that the lips are very vascular and the body metabolizes the lip color at a rapid rate compared to other body parts which are not as vascularize.

It takes about 30 days to completely heal, in which time you may experience mild scabbing. Eyeliner and lip service will be swollen for 2 days after treatment.

The level of success of permanent makeup cannot be guaranteed. The pigment may vary according to skin tones, skin type, age and skin conditions.
